Party Run

My role in creating Party Run: Game Design, Level design, Prototyping,  Pitch development.

Party Run is a R&D project in which we want to experiment with the sensors in Nintendo Switches' Joycon by creating a small game prototype. By using a third-party library, we managed to hack the controller and get data such as gyro, buttons, and accelerometer. We applied the interaction design in Ringfit Adventure and combined with the gameplay in Fall Guys .

How to Play

One joy-con will be attached to a leg. By running, players can control the character to run forward and jump;

The other joy-con will be handheld, tilting the joy-con will control the direction. Punching motion can trigger special move.

Party Run is a funny, crazy party game with motion-sensing features. You will control your character by running and competing against other players in a randomly generated parkour map. Use a wide array of absurd items to destroy friendships, take the top spot in numerous exciting mini-games and finally win the golden trophy and become the party winner!  All while getting a good sweat and lots of laughter.

Design pillars

-Funny multiplayer parkour race gameplay

-Highly immersive motion sensing control with real fitness benefit

-A wide array of absurd items and exciting mini games

-A reward system based on biodata that incentivizes moving

-Light-hearted, vibrant visual and humorous tone
